Rules
1. This is an
AMA sanctioned event, and proof of current AMA membership is required.
AMA rules will apply except where designated in the pilot's meeting at the
contest director's discretion. Maximum wingspan is 1.5 meters, and
will be checked at pilot's meeting.
2.
Pilot's are responsible for knowing which heats they are in, and for being
ready to fly at the proper times.
3. All
heats will be flown man-on-man with scores normalized for each flight group
in each round.
4. All
launches must be made within the field boundaries. Upon landing, the
plane must come to rest with the nose within field boundaries. If the
plane is caught by the pilot, the pilot must be standing within field
boundaries in order for the flight time to count. Field boundaries
will be clearly defined.
5. Time
starts when the plane leaves the pilot's hand, and terminates when contact
is made with a ground based object. Flight times at the end of a round
terminate at the sound indicating the end of the round. Time will be
truncated. No rounding.
6.
Mid-air collisions will receive no re-flight consideration. Pilots
should observe "Blue Sky" rules.
7. There
is no restriction on the number of planes a pilot may fly during a round or
contest, provided all planes are on the assigned frequency.
8. Time
will be given to the score keepers in total seconds (for example: 245
seconds NOT 4 minutes 5 seconds)
9. Score
card forms will be provided to all pilots. Your score for each heat
must be turned in to the official scorekeepers at the conclusion of each
heat. Scores will be tabulated at the conclusion of each round.
Score sheets and score cards will be verified for all award finishers.
