SASS July Hand Launch Glider Contest Results

It was another beauty of a day, lots of lift most of the day, even well into the evening.  It was a close battle (sometimes a little too close) but in the end Jim Pearson pulled out his first win in a while flying an Encore, with Tim Johnson flying his own design Cosmos in second and Adam Weston in third flying an Encore.

Thanks to our sponsors, Thermal-Gromit Works (http://www.tgworks.com) donated several selections of Cyberbond CA, and some T-Shirts, Carol Guenzler of Accent Stitching donated a SASS hat and a SASS T-Shirt, and Dick Barker donated an Uplink Assembly tool.  Thanks also go to Russ Young for working out a computer scoring system for use at the August 2-day contest.  We gave it a dry run and it seemed to work great.
